Pixie Bleu - Lead vocals
From the heart... Pixie reaches out to her fans with enthusiasm, honesty and heart, her strong rock-influenced vocals blending beautifully with Kalib’s electronic compositions. A long-time supporter of the Bay Area’s BDSM and Queer communities, Pixie’s lyrics are fresh and unapologetic, reflecting her diverse and positive slant on the world. With a stage presence that far outstrips her petite 5-foot frame, Pixie’s vocal style has been called a cross between Alison Goldfrapp and Annie Lenox.
From the beginning... At the age of three, Pixie made her theatrical debut during the musical “Hair” at the Aquarious Theatre in Los Angeles, and at six she sang with Barbra Streisand in a role as her daughter for the movie “Up The Sandbox”. In high school, Pixie performed as lead singer for a band her friends put together called Fusion; during her college days she sang back up for Maria Muldaur’s album, “On The Sunny Side” and did walk-up performances with the John Belushi Memorial Blues Band. More recent performance experience has included lyrics and vocals for folk-rock group Gypsy Rags, drum for the Starry Plough Monday Night Ceili Band and a year with the “World-Famous Glide Ensemble”.
Fans might catch Pixie in San Francisco at a party at the SF Citadel or Kinky Salon or online on Tribe.
